Task sheet 3.

1.3

We are using the metal aluminium because it is weather resistant flexible and light. and is also easy to shape into a box. it is also very easy to work with.
We are using silicon because it is a semi conductor and we are working with a series of light.

Evaluation.

At the start I was given a piece of aluminum that was about 180x180mm then I had to scribe and then cut out with a piercing saw then carried on with tin snips then I started to bend my brackets and start to make a box out of the bottom plate, then I had to screw the brackets onto the box after that we went down to the electronics room and started to practiced making circuits after making four our five we were aloud to move onto the real ones we had to solder then together and then put heat shrink and put and LED on each end of the circuit. After this I attached them to a circuit board and started to put them into my box, when I had finished this i started on cutting out my handboards which will be used for me light shade which is still in progress, After that I will put veneer on them and attach them to each other making a 4 sided light shade where the light will come out the top.
The light will be placed at the bottom of the 4 sided light shade and will shine upwards and out the top of the shade.

How can Aluminium be used to form a selected prototype?

I am going to use Aluminium to make the top plate which we will be turned into a book which will hold my solar powered light, I am also going to use Silicon to make the solar panels to power the light which will gather light during the day and then turn on at night.
